Christmas Sleigh

It is always a great privilege when the time comes for Father Christmas to visit our town in the Lions Christmas Sleigh as we know that it brings joy to both young and old. From the children seeking a sweet and a word with Santa to the obvious pleasure of watching Parents and Grandparents.

Sleigh Routes start on Thursday 10th December this year and more deatils of the routes can be found at the link below

  1. The sleigh route is great but every year we have to listen out carefully to run to the end of the road before it disappears. It would be great to see it down Dunfane off longtail, as 90% of the road have children living there.

  2. Thanks to the Dunfane resident for posting a comment on our blog.

Sorry that the sleigh doesn't come down your road.

I'm sure you appreciate it is not possible to cover all the streets in Billericay in the time available.

Also due to the length of the sleigh and tow vehicle manoevering in the dark can be difficult so we plan routes accordingly

We are due to collect in your area on Tuesday 22nd Dec. I have spoken to the Guide for that evening and he will arrange a stop on the corner of Longtaila nd Dunfane. He expects the sleigh to arrive around 7:15 - 7:30.

  5. The weather conditions continue to cause concern and after an inspection of the roads and pavements in the area we have reluctantly made the decision to cancel Tuesday evening's outing. Our apologies to all of you that were looking forward to Santa's visit especially the residents of Dunfane.
